Q...Where does Fight-N-Lady sail from and what time of morning do you depart for a day of fishing?
A...We sail from
Q...What is the price of a charter and how much deposit is required?
A...The price of an offshore/gulfstream charter is $1,600 cash and a deposit of 50% ($800) is required. You will be instructed on how to remit your deposit at the time of the initial booking. We require receipt of the deposit within two weeks of booking in order to secure the date.
Q...Can I pay with a credit card?
A...Yes. The price is $1650 for a credit card transaction. You can remit your deposit via credit card and then replace that with cash at the time of the charter, which avoids the $50 card fee.
Q...Who do I contact in order to arrange a charter?
A...In order to inquire about availability, or to book a charter, you can access our calendar by clicking the "Book online & Check Availability" on the banner and even book on-line from this option, or you can call Oregon Inlet Fishing Center at 1-800-272-5199 and ask about Fight-N-Lady. They have all our bookings in their computer and whatever they tell you will be correct.
Q...What do I need to bring along for a comfortable fishing trip?
A...We supply everything necessary for the actual fishing, bait, tackle, ice for the catch etc. You need to bring your own food and drink and a cooler with ice to hold it. Remember to bring your sunglasses, sunscreen and a good camera. Bring a jacket in Spring or Fall and the coolest, most comfortable clothes you have for dealing with hot weather in the Summer. A hat is a must! The sun can be really powerful on the ocean.
Q...Can I bring my own fishing tackle?
A...You can if you want to, but if you're doing it because you're afraid we'll be providing you with inferior tackle, don't bother. It's highly unlikely your personal tackle will measure up to the first class, custom made tackle we provide. If, on the other hand, you have a favorite rod & reel you want to try out on a real gamefish, then bring it along. If it's suitable for the task we'll use it, if not, you'll be advised to leave it at the dock.
Q...How about seasickness? What can I do to prevent it? Do you provide seasick remedies?
A...There really is no cure for seasickness other than time or dry land. Some people get over it in an hour or two and others not until they're standing firmly on dry land. A good number of seasick episodes are self inflicted. Don't go out the night before your trip and overindulge in rich or greasy foods and, above all, keep the alcohol to a minimum. If you do something to yourself at night that you know is going to make you feel terrible the next morning, even if you're lying on your couch drinking ice water and popping aspirins, what do you think you're going to feel like rocking and rolling on a boat? Use a little common sense, save the celebrating for the evening AFTER your trip, practice moderation the night before and try to get a good night's sleep. Don't load up on strong 7/11 coffee and sausage biscuits at 4:00 AM before leaving the dock. Be kind to your stomach before the trip and you'll probably have a nice day, abuse it and pay the price. Forget about OTC seasick remedies, all they do is make you groggy. Heed my words, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, never has this saying been more true. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!
